Red Rope Policy Step-by-Step Guide for Gate Access

Accessing the Gated Area:

  1. Activate Scanner:
    • Press the button on top of the BoxLock device for 1 second to activate the scanner.
  2. Scan Badge:
    • Scan the QR code on your badge to unlock the gate.
  3. Additional Team Members:
    • If additional team members need access, they must also scan their badges.
    • Leave the lock open while scanning additional badges.
  4. Secure the Lock:
    • After the last badge is scanned, close the lock and reattach it to the gate.
  5. Exiting the Gated Area:
    • Follow the same process to exit:
      • The first team member scans their badge to open the lock.
      • Each additional member scans their badge to sign out.

Watchouts:

  1. Access Confirmation:
    • Green Light Flash: You are signed in and have access.
    • Red Light Flash: You do not have approved access. Contact SOLV Site Safety for assistance.
  2. Troubleshooting Lock Issues:
    • If the lock does not open:
      • Check Battery Life: Recharge the lock if the battery is dead.
      • Access Codes: Certain employees have specific access codes to manually open the lock.
      • Connectivity Issues: If connectivity fails, contact Site Safety for help.
  3. Emergency Access Options:
    • If employees are unavailable:
      • Locate the QR code next to the BoxLock device.
      • Scan the QR code with your phone and click the provided URL.
      • Click "Remove" and enter your phone number to receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP) via text.
      • Enter the OTP and choose one of the following options:
        • "Contact Worker" for initial assistance.
        • "Force Remove" if SOLV remains unreachable.
      • Complete the form with the required information, including the reason for removal and attempts to contact SOLV.
      • Click "Force Remove", then press the top of the lock to open it.
