[BETA] Fieldwire Setup for Trackables / Locks

Key and Lock combinations may be stored in BoxLock Control and their status of Checked In or Checked Out will be synced between Fieldwire Tasks with the tag keyand BoxLock Control Trackables of Type Tool.

Setup Environment

In order to activate this feature in BoxLock Control, please contact your BoxLock Support Team.

To configure Fieldwire to leverage this functionality, complete the following steps:

1. Create new Statuses
• Checked In 🟢
• Checked Out 🔴
2. Create new Category
• Isolation Point
3. Create new Associated Fields
• Lock #
• BL Location
• BL Location BID
4. Create new Tag
• key

Import Locks as Tasks into Fieldwire

Use the Untitled as the baseline for the required fields.

1. Make Sure the LOTO Locations for the Trackables have been created in Fieldwire and Synced in BoxLock Control
2. Get the Location ID from BoxLock Control for Each Trackable’s Location
3. Populate the Template, ensuring that every row has a valid BL Location BID. Any row that does not have a valid value will be ignored in the import.
4. In Fieldwire, Import the Tasks from the Template matching the following columns:

To Remove a Key

1. On the Isolation Point in Fieldwire, remove
1. the values from:
• Lock #
• BL Location
• BL Location BID
2. In BoxLock Control:
1. Move the Key to the Location: Holding
2. Change the Status to Checked Out [Available in Late July Release]
3. Remove the External ID
4. Remove the Description

To Assign a Key

1. In Fieldwire:
1. add the “Lock #”
2. In BoxLock Control:
1. Move the Key to the appropriate “Location”
2. Update the Description to Match the Title of the Fieldwire Task
