Early July 2025 Release Notes

We're excited to announce our Early July 2025 release, featuring significant improvements to barcode management and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) functionality. This update enhances security, streamlines workflows, and adds several highly requested features.

Barcode Management Enhancements

• Company Dropdown on Barcodes: Easily associate barcodes with specific companies in your ecosystem, improving organizational clarity and reporting capabilities.
• Deactivated Barcode Behavior: Deactivated barcodes now consistently check-in and check-out users without opening locks, providing enhanced security while maintaining access logging.

LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) Improvements

• LOTO Locks Display: LOTO Locks now display all locks in the main view, expanding the number of locks shown at a given time.
• Organization-Level LOTO Admin: LOTO administrators can now be defined at the Organization level and Location Group level then automatically inherited by all subordinate entities, simplifying LOTO Administrator management. This is only pertinent for presentation on LOTO Tag Controlets and does not effect permissions.
• Auto-Administrator Assignment: New LOTO tags automatically include the administrator, ensuring proper oversight from creation.
• Enhanced Tag Presentation: A comprehensive list of tags and the current LOTO Lock count is now available in the LOTO Tag Controllet, providing better visibility and management capabilities.
• LOTO Location Protection: LOTO Locations with active Trackables can no longer be deleted, preventing data loss and potential to circumvent LOTO Controls.
• LOTO Trackables Deletion: LOTO Trackables can no longer be deleted, prevention locks from being removed without following the Force LOTO Removal process.
• Real Time Updates: LOTO Locations now show real time updates in the Trackable header, reducing possible discrepancies between the LOTO Tag and header.

User Experience Improvements

• Worker Check-In Notifications: Workers now receive confirmations of their check-in status, reducing confusion and improving safety compliance.
• Sidebar Interface Optimization: Resolved quirks in the sidebar interface for smoother navigation and improved user experience.
• Enhanced Lock Configuration: Added sensor scan time information to the lock configuration screen, providing greater visibility into device performance.

Deployment Information

This release is scheduled for deployment on July 9, 2025. All BoxLock Control components will be updated automatically, with no action required from users.

For developers integrating with our systems, all API endpoints remain backward compatible. Documentation for these features is available in BoxLock Control API Documentation (v3.0) .
