Switching From LTE to WiFi

In certain situations you may need to force a lock to use it's WiFi antenna instead of the LTE antenna, and vice versa. This guide speaks to that process, and provides the materials necessary.

Wi-Fi credentials must be entered for each Device. For help streamlining this process for a large number of devices, please contact your BoxLock account manager.

  1. When looking at the Device page, select Lock Settings → Update Network from the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  3. The Update Network dialog box will appear. Select Update WiFi from the dialog.

  5. On the subsequent screen, enter the Wi-Fi network credentials for a 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi network and click Continue

  7. Scan the barcode to update the Wi-Fi credentials

    Last Updated and Network Name will update on the Device upon successful connection

  9. If the device was last connected to a different Wi-Fi network, the process is complete. If the device was last connected via cellular, please complete the following additional steps.
  10. Once the Wi-Fi Network is updated, switch the device from Cellular to Wi-Fi by returning to Lock Settings → Update Network → Update Connectivity
  11. Select WiFi, enter password and scan QR Code with lock.

  13. After the completion of a series of beeps, hold down the button on the top of the lock for 15 seconds for a soft reboot.
